KFC Double down chicken Sandwich!

KFC Double down chicken Sandwich:
Finally, KFC has a solution to the age-old problem of too much bread on your sandwich: fried chicken! According to The Los Angeles Times, the fast food chain has gone back to its roots (remember when we said “fried” instead of “F?”) with the introduction of the new Double Down Chicken Sandwich.
The sandwich includes two fried chicken fillets surrounding two slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese, two slices of bacon, and sauce. It dares to go bunless – but with fried chicken in place of the bread, you can’t exactly call it low-carb, low-fat or low-anything . It weighs in at 540 calories, 32 grams of fat and 1,380 milligrams of sodium. A grilled version is not much better — 460 calories, 23 grams of fat and 1,430 milligrams of sodium.
To be fair, the Double Down isn’t the unhealthiest fast food sandwich out there. McDonald’s Big Mac has 540 calories and 29 grams of fat, while Burger King’s Tendercrisp chicken sandwich has 800 calories and 46 grams of fat. For even more offensive items, see Carl’s Jr.
The new sandwich is a bit of a head-scratcher, since KFC launched a healthier line of grilled chicken last year. I guess people didn’t like the taste of the “unfried side of KFC?” Maybe it’s that people who want healthy options are at Subway, not KFC!
